From 25 to 27 September 2026, Aeroclub Barcelona-Sabadell hosted the 71st edition of the Catalonia Air Tour, one of the highlights of Catalan sport aviation and a scoring event for the Catalan Motor Flight League.
The competition took place over three stages, during which the participating crews put their precision, navigation skills, time management and decision-making to the test.
This year’s edition brought together 8 aircraft and 16 pilots, with crews from different aeroclubs and aviation organisations, including Club Deportivo ANR, Aeroclub Barcelona-Sabadell, Aeroclub de Viladamat and Aeroclub de l’Anoia.
Winners of the 71st Catalonia Air Tour:
- 1st place: David Mas and Carlos Aliaga – Club Deportivo ANR, with 1,675 points
- 2nd place: Encinas and Serrats – Aeroclub Barcelona-Sabadell / Aeroclub de l’Anoia, with 1,987 points
- 3rd place: Marina Nadal and Miquel Nadal – Aeroclub Barcelona-Sabadell, with 1,991 points
The overall classification was determined by the results obtained across the three stages, taking into account the timing, navigation and precision landing events.
In the timing classification, David Mas and Carlos Aliaga also finished in first place, with 340 points, followed by Encinas and Serrats with 502 points, and Mairal and Moreno with 615 points.
In the precision landing classification, first place went to Encinas and Serrats, with 40 points, while David Mas and Carlos Aliaga scored 60 points and Gómez and Gil finished third with 170 points.
The 71st Catalonia Air Tour once again highlighted the skill of the participating crews and the importance of precision, navigation and teamwork in motor flight competitions.
